Fiddle solo, Charles Wilkens - banjo, unknown - piano, Columbia 33267-F. The first tune is one of less than a handful recorded by all three Sligo fiddle masters; Coleman called it the Killarney Wonder Schottische, Killoran's title was Shannon's Favorite - fling. Schottisches and Highland Flings are often interchangeable as tunes. In print the title used is Farrell O'Gara, which in Sligo was a name for a reel. O'Gara was a medieval Connaught lord who funded the Annals of the Four Masters, a book of medieval Irish history. The second tune is Stirling Castle, a widespread tune also recorded as a fiddle duet by Coleman and Packie Dolan.
